While back home over the summer, I did an impromptu shoot with my buddy Jay Nock and some local contortionist girls. Mongolian girls are quite famous due to their contorting, somewhat of a world renown in fact. I've only ever seen them in shows though, and to have a chance to work with some of the talent was great. These girls actually go to school for contorting, training everyday and pushing their bodies to the limits. Jay, the girls and I toured their school halls, playgrounds and lastly a buddhist monument in the mountains to the northwest of Ulaanbaatar, snapping photos along the way.
Check out Jay's tumblr to see more of this shoot and other contortionist work. And happy new year everyone!
